SLJ First Task

Kia ora bloggers we have been showed about the summer learning journey. It's where you do some fun tasks in the holidays and if you do them and blog them you get points and at the end of the holidays you would get a prize. I'm not doing it but today they made us do the first task about NASA here is what the task looked like. It was quite fun colouring in on a device.

Cute Kiwi Buddy Helping

 Kia ora bloggers this week and next week we are doing swimming. I am not doing swimming this year and because Toroa aren't, my hub is going swimming with Kiwi. We have to go with them because parents can't come because of covid so we have to help. Since me and some others aren't going and the others have to get changed them selves we were invited to come and help them put there stuff in there bags. They were so cute and it was fun watching my friends swimming.  Also do you think the Kiwi kids are cute? Comment down below if you would like and tell me.

Super Scratch Game

 Kia ora Bloggers this week for  cybersmart we had 3 options that we could pick from to make on scratch. Option 1 was to make an animation or story about what we are doing for inquiry. Option 2 was to make a game for you and your whanau  or friends to play when your parents are busy or something. Option 3 was to re-create a book that you have read recently. I chose option 2 and made a clicker game.

Special Speeches

Kia ora koe e mohio ana koe ko Tilly ahau, a i tenei wiki mo taku blog kei te tuhi korero ahau mo aku korero or hi as u know i'm Tilly and this week for my blog i am blogging about my speech. So yeah we have been working on our speeches for about five weeks now and that's also how many weeks we had before it was due. I didn't start till the 3rd week because I was busy a lot the other weeks. This speech had to be completed at home for homework. I chose to do my speech on the ozone layer.

Easy Easio

 Kia ora bloggers this week and some of last week we have been looking at Kiwi entrepreneurs. That means someone who has invented something. So far we have learnt about two things and two people but in this blog I am only talking about one and that one is about the Easio. We had to read about it, then answer questions and lastly draw and make up your own brand of yogurt, flavour, what your yogurt will look like and lastly the packaging of your yogurt. Super South Korea

Kia ora Bloggers this week I did my cultural diversity slides in literacy. I know you might be thinking but you have already blogged about your slides. Yes I did but I only shared about the Middle East because it was a work in progress so I did about  South Korea so I am sharing that this week. Anyway if you saw my last blog we had to make a slide or a few about a country. Basically you write about there flag, language and stuff like that.

Cool Cultural Diversity Day

 Hey bloggers in literacy this week in the start of our last term of the year we have been learning about cultural diversity. First we watched a video about this girl who made a speech on what it had been like for her being a Muslim child and making friends and that she had gotten bullied about things. Then we had to make a slide show about types of countries and like what there flag is, there traditions and celebrations, there language and that stuff. There was countries like the Middle East even though it is not a country it is a place made of lots of continents. Anyway like south Korea and the pacific islands. This is my slide by the way it is a work in progress.

It was fun learning  about new cultures and that.

Great GMO vs Organic

Tena Koutou bloggers. Between this week and last week we have been doing persuasive writing. First we had to do it on GMO vs organic but I was a fence sitter which means I chose both. GMO means Genetically modified organisms. Anyway we had to write pros and cons about it then do a planning sheet then we actually wrote our conclusion first then we got started.

It was hard at first because I didn't know how to set it out but I eventually got the hang of it.

Mighty Muscle Cramps

 Tena Koutou bloggers. In Miss Smiths literacy we have been learning about muscle cramps. We learnt that salt can help with it and sport drinks or milk because of the calcium. What we did is we learnt about it then we had to make a presentation about muscle cramps. The presentation had to be an animation a biteible or a slide just explaining it. I chose to do an animation because I thought it would be fun and I could get it done in time. 

It was fun making the different characters and choosing the colours.

Tilly's Perfect Position & Orientation

 Kia ora tamariki. For maths from Wednesday to Thursday we did position and orientation doing like travelling to north south west and east or never-north eat-east soggy-south weet-bix-west. She gave just gave us a 15 slided slide and 1 was the cover 13 were the tasks and 1 was to write a blog on the slide which is this blog. We had 2 days to do this and i'm so happy I finished it. 

It was fun looking at composes and just fun to do it.

My Powerful Paper Plane Slide

Kia ora bloggers for the last day of level 3 lockdown in places other then Auckland before we went in to level 2. Miss Smith set us a paper plane slide we had to make a paper plane decorate it fly it as far as we could and do a trick. Miss Smith said she would judge who's was decorated the most who's flew the farthest and who had the best trick. I made videos on camera for all those thing's then I took screencastify of those videos and then I was done.

It was fun flying my paper plane and exciting when I go my trick check that out down the page by the way.

Tilly's Fun Fractions

 Hi bloggers welcome or welcome back to my blog. For maths we had to do a slide given to us by Mrs Kerin. It was about comparing and ordering fractions. There were things like finding the common denominators and which fraction is larger. We did this for about three days and then it was today Friday, and we don't do maths or literacy on Fridays we do blogs comments and Friyay things off a slide the teachers make for us. On the first day which was Tuesday we did fifteen of the slide's, then on Wednesday we did 5 slides, and finally on Thursday or yesterday we did seven of those slides.

It was fun finding the larger fraction and smaller fraction because I hadn't used the larger or smaller arrows in like 2 years in tui hub.

My Fantastic Food Spoilage Animation/Slide

For literacy this week we had to make an animation we could do it in buddy's if we wanted so I did it with Freya. Lots of credit to Freya for this animation anyway we had to make it on a fruit showing how it goes from ripe normal then to yuck and mouldy me and Freya picked banana's. You can check it out down further on the page.

It was lots of fun to do this animation especially with a friend or Freya.

The Delta Disaster Lockdown

 Welcome or welcome back to my blog. On the 17th of August 2021 the Prime minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern announced that in Auckland and Coromandel in New Zealand that they have a 7 day lockdown and the rest of New Zealand to be in a 3 day lockdown. This was because a guy who lived in Auckland got Covid 19 and had travelled to Coromandel

This lockdown has been kind of boring but my school work has been pretty fun.

Tilly's Thrilling Tokyo Olympic Work

 Kia ora guys. It is term 3 already and this week, the first week of term and for the next three weeks we are working on the Olympics. We have to read an article or watch a video the teachers set for us and then answer 3-5 questions set by the teachers. The Olympics this year are held in Tokyo, Tokyo is the capital of Japan. This was fun to learn about the Olympics because I hardly get to watch it. Do you watch the Olympics? If you do what sort do you like watching the most. Mine is the rowing and Canoeing.  

Wicked Winter Sport

Kia ora bloggers last week we had our first day of winter sport on the 11th of June and it is now the 18th. So we headed on heaps of buses to Rawwhiti Domain. There was heaps of winter sport options like Hockey, which I did, Football, Netball and heaps more. It was so fun that we had two games and the  practising before our games was fun too. My Intelligent Information Report

 Welcome back or welcome to my blog guys in literacy we have been set a task to write a information report on a choice of topics. I chose to do mine on Covid 19 in New Zealand. We had to choose 3 things to say about our topic and they would be 3 of our subtitles leading into paragraphs about our topic. By the way I haven't finished it is a work in progress. 

It was fun coming up with a topic and learning about information reports.

Tilly's Artistic Rajah

 Welcome back bloggers at my school we have doing a production if you don't know what that means it is basically a  play but a big one most of the time a movie. So we are doing one this year on Aladdin. Instead of just watching people practise and then we would start talking we had tasks do do and one was draw a picture on your favourite character I did mine on Rajah. I did it by looking up a picture online ad copying it.

It was hard but fun matching the head shape and making his stripes.

My Awesome question Answers

 Kia ora guys, welcome back to my blog. In class at literacy this week we read a book called Breathless as you might know I made a storyboard last week on my last post so go there if you want a explanation on the book. Basically, it's about this boy who has asthma who cant play an important rugby game. Our teacher Mrs Atkinson gave us questions to answer about the book these were the questions she gave us. 

It was really fun trying to remember stuff from the book so I could write my answers.

Tilly's Story Boarding Bash

 Welcome back bloggers in literacy with Mrs Atkinson we read a book called breathless and its about this boy who has asthma that fell into a puddle of mud. We had to choose a scene from the book and make a story board using Story board That.

It was really fun trying to match clothes to the people in the book and trying to mach the scene.

 Kia ora bloggers, in class at maths time we have been working on length and area. We have had a slide activity to do on length and area.

 Hi bloggers in class at inquiry time on Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays we have gone to production. Instead of just watching people practice we have had tasks to do on our chrome books and one of them was do a pixel art on your favourite character on the movie Aladdin because that is the movie we are doing our production and this is mine.
